Bestsellers! Bestelling Author!

Updated: Apr 13, 2023

I am blessed to have had all of my books reach number one / #1 in their respective category on Amazon at one point or another. Here are a few highlights. (The rankings change hourly; I haven't always captured a photo.)

Released April 10th. #3 on Apr. 11 and #1 on Apr. 12, 2023. Blessed! This is the full-length version of the ebook I released during COVID to throw some hope into the universe. Read Until You Bleed: Funny and Thoughtful Poems For Funny and Thoughtful Children.

My recent short ebook, Pet Names: A Book of Children's Poetry, is only available as an ebook: it's a gift to the world in the time of coronavirus. It's a preview of a larger/expanded version and it's been quite successful! It debuted in the Top 5 and quickly went to #1. MY book right next to Shel Silverstein. Cool! (Pic of #1 not shown, but it was achieved.)

April 2, 2020 (The book eventually hit #1 that week!)

My book, Cenzontle/Mockingbird (YA Edition): Songs of Empowerment (ebook) is pretty much in the Top 5 or Top 50 depending on the category on Kindle! This book has been or is being taught at colleges and universities across the country and even use abroad.

Think Maya Angelou meets Gloria E. Anzaldúa meets Shakespeare!

July 7, 2020: #1 in Children's Drama & Theater Nonfiction

January 20, 2020: Top 20

Young Adult edition of a code-switching collection of diverse poetic forms, styles, and personas celebrating the dynamics of the human voice & spirit. Age-appropriate language suitable for YA readers--with thought-provoking teacher-created questions for discussion following each piece or paired pieces and occasional writing prompts. Daniel García Ordaz, the Poet Mariachi, the author of You Know What I'm Sayin'?, encourages readers to perform the text aloud, such as his adaptation of Shakespeare's "Romeo & Juliet." A polyglottic exhibition of empowerment through performance. Influenced by and dedicated to the memories of Maya Angelou and Gloria E. Anzaldúa.

My 1st collection also went number one both in paperback and as an ebook edition.

My second collection of poetry also went number one as a paperback (friends captured it, but I don't have the image.) When that 2nd book came out, both my first and second books were trending as Top 20 Most Gifted Book on Amazon on May 14, 2018. The book was released May 23, 2018 and the book went #1 when it debuted! My 2nd book is Cenztontle/Mockingbird: Songs of Empowerment (Poetry * Drama)
