Mom & Dad had nine children. Not all of us survive, but we three of the seven are blessed to have had the opportunities and taken advantage of them to earn our master's degrees, respectively MA in Reading for Martha García Silva in 2001), MA in English for George García in 2013, and myself in MFA in Creative Writing in 2017.
